Apples To Pears is a relatively new venture compared to some of our other suppliers. Having started in 2002 they’ve come very far from their humble beginnings!

Originally Apples To Pears began by selling quirky, practical and attractive garden gifts. Partnering with Alan Titchmarsh, the gifts for gardeners range took off selling folding secateurs, gardener’s mugs and tools.

Eventually, one of Apples To Pears best selling garden products spun off into 10s of other ideas. The Gift in a Tin! Originally, the first gift in a tin was on of their garden products but proved so popular that one after another, the range kept on expanding.

Apples To Pears has consistently made amazing products and it shows by their impressive collection of ‘Gift of the Year’ awards! The ‘Birds Away Kit’ in 2010, ‘Make Your Own Insect House’ in 2011, ‘Train Set In A Tin’ in 2012, ‘Car Journey Games’ and ‘Farm in a Tin’ in 2014 and The range of ‘Natural History Museum Amazing Dinosaur Model Kits’ in 2018, ‘Travel Dog’ and ‘Wolf ‘Em Down’ in 2020! Also this year, their ‘Build a Bee Hotel’ was highly commended.

The Gift in a Tin range is primarily geared towards kids with an attempt to encourage them to play in a more traditional sense, without the Internet or a phone. They’re designed specifically to drive curiosity and creativity and give them some fun problem solving activities.

There are of course some more adult oriented gifts such as self-care kits and sewing kits. They’ve proven to be great uses of time for a little bit of fun or even a challenge in some cases.
