In more peaceful times, Maureen O’Hara was the legendary Irish film actress and singer who, at the tender age of 14, first appeared on the boards of Dublin’s famed Abbey Theatre.

Becoming a naturalised American citizen in 1946 and considered at the height of her career to be one of the world’s most beautiful women, the flame-haired actress went on to star in a series of movies that include the 1952 The Quiet Man, the 1955 The Long Grey Line and the 1991 Only the Lonely.
