The Origins of the Crosbies and Their Place in History

Particularly identified with Dumfries and Galloway and Ayrshire, the Crosbies and their namesakes the Crosbys were embroiled in some of the key events in Scotland’s long and turbulent history.

This was as kinsfolk of Clan Bruce, whose most famous son is the great warrior king Robert the Bruce and with whom they fought during the Wars of Scottish Independence and at great cost to themselves.
