This Heathergems Sgian Dubh comes with a stainless steel blade.

Heathergems are handcrafted from the stems of Scottish heather.

The heather is collected from the Perthshire hills.

The stems are then dried, shotblasted to remove the bark and dyed various colours.

The stems are then mixed and compressed into a block.

Approximately eighty tons of pressure is required to press the stems together.

Cut and polished into the most previous of Scottish Heather gems. The heather handles are handcrafted by our skilled craftworkers before being lacquered to give the final finish.

This unique process means no two handles are the same. Due to the fact no two are the same our colour choice is a guide to the predominant colour you would prefer.

Your sgian dubh will differ from the picture and should require a different colour please let us know and we will do our best to help.
